Senior Manager, NOC - Remote:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Support, this role will be critical in creating, staffing and managing Wurl’s Network Operation Center. This person will be tasked with not only building a team from the ground up, but also establishing workflows, escalation paths and developing tools to ensure stability across all of Wurl’s services. Since this is a new team, the position requires a fantastic leader who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and write the rules alongside their colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Drive operational excellence around maintenance of Wurl core services
• Build a team from scratch to create a fully-functional network operation center.
• Own and manage the weekly communication of incidents, maintenance windows validations and overall performance data.
• Oversee NOC operations whose responsibilities advance troubleshooting,  alerting, escalations, and documentation.
• Develop key dashboards for transparency of reporting uptime for streaming and advertisement services and other metrics as identified
• Implement processes for alerting and for automation opportunities.
• Ensure that up-to-date technical documentation
• Executive level escalation for business impacting events

Qualifications:

• 3 + years’ experience as a NOC Engineer or Ops / DevOps engineer
• 5 + years’ experience in a technical leadership position
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Capable of clearly articulating expectations and direction to your team
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Strong understanding of 24/7 linear delivery formats
• Experience building a NOC is a plus
