Channel Scheduling Associate

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced content scheduler to help Wurl support its growing client base and an ever-increasing number of managed FAST streaming channels. Harnessing a deep passion for content & audience experiences, the Channel Scheduling Associate will help execute multiple editorial projects and manage operational workflows for major channel brands. With a focus on optimizing viewing and maximizing content value, the Channel Scheduling Associate will work across a broad portfolio of TV channels, Streamers and international markets. 

Responsibilities will include strategic content curation for global brands, linear & VOD scheduling, video asset & rights management, channel ad loads, and coordinating delivery workflows with content companies globally. 

This role will be a part of our Channel Operations team and report to the Senior Manager, Scheduling, working closely with other teams in the group (Onboarding, Launch Operations, Content Ops, Client Success Managers) to ensure timely delivery and launch of all content and channels, as well as ongoing management. The position calls for someone who loves proactively tackling new challenges and solving puzzles, is adaptable to changing demands, and demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and superb time management. You will play a key role in Wurl’s mission of connecting all the world’s programming with all the world’s viewers!

This role will be a 6-month contract working 30 hours per week.


What You'll Do:

  • Schedule Linear and VOD Schedules (24/7, 365) for multiple global channels
  • Help manage asset library, channel ad loads, scheduling rights and local ratings compliance
  • Collaborate closely with content companies to implement any editorial programming choices needed
  • Coordinate content delivery with content companies worldwide
  • Work with Wurl Support to resolve any issues with content ingestion, and troubleshoot issues/improvements with Wurl’s cloud-based scheduling Product
  • Provide channel scheduling support for channels in preparation for launch, to meet QA standards
  • Help develop scalable processes to grow channel management services
  • Utilize insights to improve channel performance & audience experiences



Our ideal candidate has directly relevant experience in a similar role and a similar type of company. In addition they should also possess the following skills/traits:

  • 2+ years experience in linear/multi-platform programming, scheduling and asset management at a digital or traditional media company
  • A deep understanding of content strategy, audience behaviors, channel analytics, and how to utilize data insights to improve performance
  • Expert organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/workflows simultaneously
  • A knack for finding solutions by collaborating with both internal and external teams
  • Comfortable with asserting requirements and deadlines internally and with external stakeholders 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A committed team player
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
