Director, Publisher Development, US - Remote, Full Time

The Director of Publisher Development - is responsible for driving revenue growth via new CTV/OTT publisher acquisition for our AdPool Premium, client retention, and upselling AdPool Premium to current publishers.

The Director of Publisher Development will have strong CTV Publisher relationships, as well as a clear understanding of the perspectives of publishers looking for monetization of their CTV inventory. Strong knowledge of all facets of inventory yield strategies, and operational requirements for addressable TV monetization is essential for this role.

What you'll do:

  • Work with the Sales leadership team to define, achieve and exceed revenue and business goals
  • Developing a CTV/OTT publisher sales strategy that drives accelerated business growth
  • Work closely with the Marketing to build collateral for AdPool Premium, and be an expert at articulating the story internally and externally
  • Reaching or exceeding quarterly revenue goals 
  • Continuously prospecting for new business using your existing network of relationships and creating new relationships
  • Lead sales efforts through all aspects of the sales cycle including relationship initiation, negotiation, and closing
  • Participating in industry events and assisting in developing Wurl’s market presence
  • Provide oversight of publisher inventory to ensure successful operations & top-line growth
  • Perform industry & trend research and analysis, and identify unique partnership opportunities
  • Lead contract negotiations for all IO’s with Wurl Legal team
  • Partner with Leadership to enhance AdPool Premium strategy for digital publishers
  • Understand and communicate Wurl and AdPool Premiums value proposition and technology

Who you are:

  • Previous sales or business development experience in a video/CTV/OTT focussed business with experience working with CTV/OTT companies and TV manufacturers
  • Strong knowledge & familiarity with Internet advertising models and ad optimization
  • A strong set of existing relationships with CTV/OTT companies, and TV manufacturers at the VP Sales level, VP/Director, Ad Ops and comfortable with running c-level conversations
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • A self-starter with an ability to learn, take charge, and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Passionate about working in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Strong experience providing information to leadership on trends, performance, action plans
  • Strong track record of leading ongoing technology-related business development (i.e., emerging trends and technologies serving the online and digital advertising marketplace)
  • Analytical/strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good presence and bearing in support of external visibility and industry speaking engagements
  • Strong time management abilities
