Client Success Manager, US - Remote

Wurl is looking for an experienced and strategic Client Success Manager for the US Connected TV/Video Advertising Sales team, who is multi-skilled and knowledgeable in all things that keep customers happy. Should have experience in the video media sales space (either Youtube, Social, AdvancedTV, ConnectedTV, Video Media), and a plus if experienced particularly with Entertainment, Content or Television advertising customer success,  sales or marketing.  

Our ideal candidate is a dedicated and loyal hard-worker and self-starter who cares about customer happiness, and is comfortable interfacing with marketers at big companies, and answering tough questions, or knowing how to say “I don’t know but I’ll find out” with confidence.  

If you have experience with media sales, or have worked at an advertising agency or media company and understand media lingo (Impressions, CPM, AdOps, Nielsen...etc) that is a big plus.

What you'll do:

This candidate will work with clients after deals are sold, and manage a busy schedule of follow-ups, via phone, email, or Zoom.  Candidate should be able to build and maintain meaningful relationships with our new and existing Content Company clients, with the goal of inspiring them to believe in our products, grow with us, and increase their spend after successful marketing campaigns. Candidate will also support sellers who are working across fast-paced Connected TV advertising deals, by providing them with deck updates and other answers to client requests and questions quickly and efficiently. 

This candidate reports to the Head of the Performance Marketing Business Unit.  This is a mid-level role, requiring experience with the above, and the skills and ability to dive into the existing relationships we’ve already built, grow new ones, and become the expert on customer success at Wurl.  Ideally the candidate becomes successful and this role grows into a bigger role in 2022.

As of now, all meetings are remote and held over zoom, for your safety and safety of all Wurl employees.   This role requires no travel.  It is fully remote.


  • Manage client relationships, keep customers happy, schedule meetings, follow-ups
  • Interface over zoom, email and phone with many clients and prospects
  • Share customer learnings and run bi-weekly meetings with some technical data about the marketing campaigns we are running.
  • Manage client expectations and thoughtfully manage issues that might come up
  • Build and customize proposal decks from time to time with our sellers
  • Interface with a Tech engineering representative and/or our Advertising Operations Team (AdOps) to get the info you need to succeed in conversations with clients
  • Inspire our clients to stay with us and continue running new campaigns each month. 
  • Collaborate with sales team members who are working to increase client spend.
  • Report to Head of Performance Marketing Business Unit


  • A can-do attitude, positive go-getter, dedicated, thoughtful personality. 
  • Clear and confident communication skills and a sense of humor.  You don’t sweat the small stuff!
  • BA/BS from a college/university; or relevant similar experience and training
  • 6-8+ years of corporate or start-up work experience with at least 3+ years of experience in Account Management or Customer Success or similar role, at a media company, advertising agency, video company, required, ideally in and around entertainment, content (movie studio, tv network) or ConnectedTV companies
  • Basic understanding of how deals are closed, billed, and paid, ability to interface with an accounting department.
  • Ideally you have some advertising agency or similar experience in marketing or sales or account management involving media deals sold at CPM/CPA etc.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate customers through insight-driven conversations
  • Ability to update powerpoint, keynote decks, and write copy as needed 
  • Experience writing campaign wrap-up reports
  • Exceptional communication skills -- ability to maintain composure if someone throws a tough question or two your way.
  • Leadership, Coaching, and/or some management skills or experience, or willingness to grow towards that 
  • Experience writing positive emails and communications even if they contain bad news
  • A plus if you have written case studies before
  • Some light algebra skills, statistics skills - basic ability to read a spreadsheet, chart, graphs, and explain insights (don’t worry we’ll train you)
  • Ability to influence and inspire internal and external leadership and stakeholders to take appropriate risks.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, Zoom/Microsoft Teams, Google (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Google Drive), Keynote, Slack, and other common remote-office software
